On my way to work on a cloudy morning these are some of the sights I saw….

Making the car shine like a new bride,
Expecting something new will happen his way today.
How I wish everyone could look ahead and keep driving!
My baby girl sitting with her father at the window,
Trying to juggle her eyes to see me,
Figuring out where am I headed to K
How I wish everyone could experience these wonderful moments of parenthood and value what our parents have done for us!
Father riding his little daughter to school,
Both of them focused in their own ways,
Daughter waiting to come back home and father thinking of the long day ahead of him.
How I wish everyone around was able to manage wearing different hats and wearing it well!

Letting the cool breeze hit their souls,
Chatting, gossiping, laughing probably about some talks at work.
How I wish everyone would be cheerful like this forever!
A small child working at a juice station,
Peeling off oranges in anger,
Thinking why in the hell am I here.
How I wish there was no child labor anywhere in this world!
A lady riding a bicycle in a saree and a scarf around her head,
Riding through a slope,
Wondering when will she hit the plains.
How I wish life was never a rough ride!
Police guards at a checkpoint all decked up,
Standing tall with their pouted bellies,
Wishing if they could have slept a little longer.
How I wish everyone would respect each other for whatever they are doing!
A carefree truck driver lying down on the concrete expressway,
Looking high up in the sky,
Thinking when will he meet his family again.
How I wish to see the bond between families!
A young girl walking down the lane,
Smiling and nodding looking at her mobile,
Probably waiting to meet the person who made her smile this morning.
How I wish to have the same smile of love on everyone around me!
People seated in a six seater van,
Old, young, rich, poor, fat, thin,
All’s fair in this van, no caste, no creed, no distinction.
How I wish to have such a world forever!
Workers standing in groups outside a company,
With half glass of tea in their hand,
Calculating how much of bread will they earn today.
How I wish we value and do justice to each penny we earn!
Guards welcoming all the employees at the gate,
With eyes down checking all the IDs opening gates for the vehicle,
Expecting everyone to check in soon so that they can relax a bit.
How I wish we raise our gratitude for everyone working hard to make our life better!
Such and many more instances on my way,
Everyone in their own pensive moods,
Wish I could pen them all.
I just find myself so fortunate,
To have able to see all of this and enjoy every bit of it,
And I thank God for the same!
When we look around
We understand there are so many people
Struggling in their lives, trying to achieve just their basic needs,
And here we sit whining about trivial things.
Life just makes one humble, content and happier!
I second that completely, but it’s just a matter of looking around!
